Nisha J. Tuli
I'm doing a post specifically for all the Nisha love I have at the moment.
In the beginning, and by that I mean sometime earlier this year, I had dove into the Artefacts of Ouranos series. It had been on my TBR for a while, and I was looking for a new series to read (this was before I started ARC reading) - I was hooked. Not just "oh this is enjoyable", it was "I can't stop reading this, screw being a responsible adult. I am not stopping until I get to the end, even for sleep". At that point it was only the first three, and for anyone who has read the series and has gotten to the end of the Sun King, you know how much of a hell of an ending that one has. That was probably one of my most reactive responses to a cliffhanger thus far. It was brutal and she didn't even have the next one finished yet.
However, with some patience, and neglecting work at 2 pm to get on NetGalley and refresh the heck out of my page - I got super lucky and ended up with an ARC of Tale of the Heart Queen. Let me tell you - I DEVOURED that book as soon as I got home that evening. I had just started my Instagram, so it was one of my first posts there. But I was still new so I didn't say too much about it. I love this series though, and I have two different special editions ordered of the series (because the artwork is AMAZING).
I'm writing about it now because I just finished reading the first three books of the Nightfire Quartet. I had gotten lucky again and managed to get my hands on an ARC of Storm of Ink and Blood. So of course, I dove into this series as soon as I got on vacation (life got hectic the past couple of months). I can officially say that Nisha J. Tuli is now one of my all time favorite romantasy authors. I only have a couple more books of hers to read, and I already know that I am going to love them.
This series was hard to get into at first because it just drops you into the FMC's, Zarya's, life. She's been trapped in the same location most of her life and has no idea why. Which makes her violent and angry, and I love it. Then within a few chapters she finally manages to get away and the adventure begins. I could not put it down, I rolled right into the next one, then the next one, and now really wish I had the fourth one that isn't even completed yet lol. I don't want to write spoilers, but I will give a warning that this is slow burn - but well worth the wait and I love how she has woven this story and world so far.
I'm addicted. So if you haven't read anything by Nisha, I suggest you remedy that. Most of her stuff is available through Kindle Unlimited.
