Hello there!

My first blog post!! Welcome :) I'm about 99% sure no one will ever visit my blog, but I figured this would be a good way to at least keep myself updated and organized with the books I'm reading, and maybe post and talk about some fun things in between.

So first, I guess I could write a little bit about me. I was born in the 90s, I was never popular, and I often prefer the company of other animals to people. It's not because I hate people, but I am very socially awkward. As in, "they wanted to hold me back in Kindergarten because of it" socially awkward. After years of attempting to make friends and failing for anything long term (until almost high school), I found books to be a fantastic way to escape. Tolkien was my first fantasy, and I still re-read the Lord of the Rings every so often. Even as an adult, I get lost in fantasy when life gets to be too much.

Which is how I got here - writing this - in hopes to spread the word on some books and support authors to the best of my ability.

There's not much to tell about me, I work at an office full-time making maps for archaeology reports. I love maps almost as much as I love books, so it's a good career for me. The only job I would love more than what I do now is a librarian (though I think that would be a bit of a pay cut, I would indeed be living the dream).

I have one dog, he is my partner in crime. You will probably see at least three dogs on here so I will introduce them now.

The mischievous, pain in the butt coonhound mix is my boy, Chief. He is a rescue and is a long story I may tell at some point, but I love him to pieces.

The border collie looking sweetheart is my neighbors dog, Hadlee. She is Chief's best friend and visits almost daily for playtime in the yard. Yes, she has the prettiest blue eyes :)

The very handsome German shepherd is Ruger (though I usually call him Booger). He is my parents dog, is also a problem child, but he can't help it.
