Review - The Wolf King's Keeper by Elle Lacerta

 


This book was quite enjoyable of a read, the world this author wrote was unique. I read it in one go because I didn't want to put it down. Unlike your typical werewolf romance, this one involves witches, curses, a hierarchy, and betrayal. The villain in this story gives some serious Scar vibes, and I love it. The characters are amazingly written and all strong in their own ways. I loved seeing Coda's development through the book. The spice was delicious, especially towards the end of the book (where it was well worth the wait). I really can't wait for the next one to see what happens with our group of characters.

Welcome :) I'm about 99% sure no one will ever visit my blog, but I figured this would be a good way to at least keep myself updated and organized with the books I'm reading, and maybe post and talk about some fun things in between. Reading Updates - 12/09/2025

 Hello there and Welcome!! I caught up on some ARCs and their reviews - here are my favorite for the week. Well, needless to say I am ABSOLUTELY in my cowboy era, they're my favorite books to read between my romantasy series that I somehow get dragged into. Duke is the first book I ARC read in this series, but I had read the three previous books in this spicy interconnected series. The Rivers brothers are quite swoon-worthy, and honestly - if I didn't know better I would be moving across the country and find myself a rancher. Unfortunately, these cowboys only exist in fiction, but that's perfectly okay. You can't get disappointed by a fictional character. Well, technically you can but I digress. Duke by Jessica Peterson is the fourth installment of her Lucky River Ranch series, which starts with the brother Cash. Duke is Rivers brother, and one of the twins. The Intuitive Series by E.Y. Kelley

 I received this series as ARCs, and I regret not having read them sooner. It took me getting a week and a half of vacation to tackle a lot of my TBR. This series though was one of my favorites and still is a favorite. As soon as I get paid I will be buying physical copies as shelf trophies. So, let's dive in. The first book in this series is called "The Lies We Tell". In this book we start to meet a majority of our characters. The entire series so far is from Lexi's POV, so you're learning things and watching everything through her. So you definitely feel her frustration when EVERYONE keeps leaving important facts out or just not telling her period. A lot of problems could have been solved if people would just be clear with her from the get go - instead something happens - she tells someone, and they're like "Oh yeah, about that...".
